Justification?

I take serious offense to any attempt at justifying the idea of a Christian not witnessing.  Whether it’s “I don’t have that gift” or waiting around for "friendship evangelism” or thinking that “people are going to notice me as different from everyone else in the world.”

The reason is because it’s already hard enough for people to overcome their fears to speak out as commanded by the Lord.  I’ve been doing it on a regular basis for over 3 years, and still have to overcome fear sometimes.  It’s a constant battle, and to give excuses or justification for not doing it just makes it that much worse.

You SHOULD be convicted to witness.  You SHOULD feel bad when you miss an opportunity, and you SHOULD take corrective action to keep from letting it happen again, not justifying yourself.
We tend to justify ourselves while condemning others.  Being a hypocrite is not a Christian thing, it's a human thing.  People just tend to do this and it's due to our sinful nature.  But this is something to overcome, not something to embrace and hide behind.

Don't try to justify your disobedience to the command of our Lord and Savior in the Great Commission, get yourself equipped, get out there and share the Gospel of eternal life.

AL,

The Lord has truly given you the passion to reach out and seek to save the lost! I'm thankful that the Lord placed the two of us together. I value your opinion and I pray that others who read what you say do the same!

It's sad when those who claim Christ get angry at us because we are doing what the Lord commands us to do. In (Mat 10:33) "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

One would think that those who attend worship have heard this verse and realize the consequences of their actions by keeping silent.

I ask myself how much more does someone have to do, you know, He took a beating, ridiculed, abandoned by His own followers and then the horrific death by being nailed to a Cross to die so that I can have Eternal life. Now those who claim they are saved by His Grace will not step up and speak out as He commands. (Sad!)
